What does the UCP Playground extension do?
It pins an AI shopping agent to a side panel next to whatever store you are browsing. The agent talks to the store over the Universal Commerce Protocol — searching products, building a cart, and handing off to checkout — so you can shop, or test agent-readiness, right on the page.
Is it free?
Yes. The extension is free and runs on the same agent that powers ucpplayground.com. You only need a free personal access token to connect it to your account.
Which stores work?
Any store that publishes a UCP profile at /.well-known/ucp. The extension auto-detects support as you browse and lights up when a store is agent-ready. On stores without UCP, it points you to a quick check instead.
What data does it collect?
Your token is stored locally in the browser and never synced. The extension reads the domain of the active tab to detect UCP support and sends your chat messages to the Playground API to run the agent. Public UCP profile data only — no browsing history or personal information is harvested.
