Terms of Service

By accessing or using UCP Playground ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

UCP Playground is a free, interactive tool that allows you to:

• Check Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) profile status for merchant domains
• Discover and interact with merchant MCP (Model Context Protocol) endpoints
• Search products, browse catalogs, and test cart functionality via MCP tools
• Run AI agent sessions against merchant endpoints and review recorded replays, funnel outcomes, and schema quality grades
• Authenticate with merchant OAuth2 providers for access to protected MCP endpoints
• Create an account via Google, GitHub, or magic link email for higher rate limits and saved session history

The Service acts as a testing and exploration tool. It proxies requests to merchant MCP endpoints on your behalf and does not itself sell products or process transactions.

You agree to use the Service responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws. You may not:

• Abuse rate limits: Do not send excessive automated requests to the Service or use it to flood merchant endpoints
• Circumvent protections: Do not attempt to bypass rate limiting, CSRF protection, or other security measures
• Harm merchants: Do not use the Service to disrupt merchant operations, exploit vulnerabilities, or scrape data at scale
• Misrepresent data: Do not submit falsified or manipulated benchmark data
• Violate merchant terms: Your use of the Playground to interact with merchant endpoints is subject to those merchants' own terms of service

The Service displays data retrieved from third-party merchant websites, including product listings, prices, availability, and store policies. This data is provided by the merchants through their public MCP endpoints.

• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of merchant data
• Product prices, availability, and descriptions may change at any time
• Checkout URLs provided by merchants link to their own checkout flows, not ours
• We are not responsible for the content, products, or services offered by merchants

You may create an account using Google OAuth, GitHub OAuth, or a magic link email. By creating an account:

• You agree that the information provided by your OAuth provider (name, email, avatar) or the email you supply is accurate
• You are responsible for all activity under your account
• You may request deletion of your account by contacting us
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms

Account creation is optional. You can use the Playground without signing in.

When you authorize the Playground to access a merchant's authenticated MCP endpoints via OAuth2:

• You are granting the Playground temporary access to interact with the merchant's MCP endpoint on your behalf
• Merchant access tokens are stored only in your server-side session and are not persisted
• You may revoke access at any time through the Playground interface
• You are responsible for any actions taken through authenticated sessions

Aggregated results from agent sessions run through the Service (for example model checkout rates on the public leaderboard) form a benchmark dataset:

• Published benchmark data is aggregated from sessions we ran and is not attributable to you
• Sessions you explicitly share via a share link become publicly accessible replays
• We reserve the right to exclude sessions that appear fraudulent or manipulated from published aggregates

The UCP Playground application, including its design, code, and documentation, is our proprietary work. Merchant data displayed through the Service belongs to the respective merchants.

The Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) specification is an open standard. Our implementation of tools to interact with UCP does not grant or restrict any rights related to the UCP specification itself.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
• Merchant MCP endpoints will be available or return accurate data
• Grades, verdicts, or benchmark results reflect the complete quality of a merchant's UCP implementation
• The Service will be compatible with all merchant implementations

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UCP Playground and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or business opportunities
• Actions taken based on grades, benchmark results, or merchant data
• Issues arising from interactions with merchant endpoints
• Unauthorized access resulting from compromised OAuth tokens

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without notice. We may also impose usage limits or restrict access to prevent abuse.

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
